THE CAMINO BY SHIRLEY MACLAINE

 In Blog

In 1994, at age 60, Shirley MacLaine embarked on a solo trek along what is known as El Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile trail that crosses from France into northern Spain. The pilgrimage can take as long as eight weeks to complete as travelers make their way on foot to their final destination: the cathedral where the remains of Saint James are said to be buried. Shirley walked the trail alone in 30 days in an effort to reconnect with her most elemental humanity. Watch as she tells Oprah about the hardest part of the journey.
